Two young people, residents of Bat Yam, aged 17 and 18, were arrested on suspicion of stealing medical cannabis from a woman who had purchased it a short time before at a pharmacy on Yarkon Street in Tel Aviv. 

The police began an investigation this week after, in a proactive and focused operational activity by the police officers of the Tel Aviv North station in collaboration with the motorcycle unit of the Tel Aviv police station, they noticed the two suspects riding a scooter and looking towards a pharmacy on Yarakon Street in Tel Aviv. When they noticed the policemen, the suspects fled the scene driving wildly. on the road and crossing red lights while endangering passers-by. During the chase, the police officers noticed that the scooter's identification plate was folded under the suspicion that the riders were trying to hide its identification.

At the same time, a report was received for the theft of five bags of medical cannabis from a woman who had purchased it a short time before from a pharmacy on Yarkon Street in Tel Aviv, near where the suspects were observed and where the initiated activity of the police officers was carried out.

At the end of the chase, the suspects were arrested and brought to the police station for questioning, at the end of which they were imprisoned.

At the hearing held at the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court, the detention of the suspects was extended by four days until tomorrow (Thursday).
