The Directorate of Theaters and Music in the Ministry of Culture organized a concert for the Arab Music Ensemble to revive the heritage within the "Art Gardens Project" on the stage of the Roman Theater in Tishreen Park.
The concert, which came under the supervision of the musician Salah Qabbani, comes within the plan set by the ministry to revive the Syrian lyrical heritage. The concert included a number of Syrian heritage songs presented by the artist Dureid Awada, including “I had a gazelle” composed by the late artist Rafiq Subai’i and “Disney and I know Marami” that accompanied him. By the great artist Duraid Lahham in the series "Sah Al-Nom".
The artist Duraid Awada, in a special statement to Sana Benn, said that each artist has his own tarab color and has included himself among the artists of the tarab color due to his possession of nearly two hundred special songs that many artists today still sing in many concerts.
Awada saw the need for such an event to protect traditional songs from deformation, citing the wrong performance of some of the singers for these songs.
And about his message through this concert, Awada explained that he is closer to the audience than ever, considering them a reason for his fame.
