Dogs tear up winning lottery ticket - "It's too funny"

When a married couple wakes up in the morning, they find their lottery ticket lying in small scraps on the floor.

You give him up anyway.

Some sentences sound like a bad excuse, and the feeling of being kidnapped creeps into the subconscious.

But some things, no matter how unusual, actually happen the way the Oregon Lottery is now reporting on its website.

Oregon couple Nathan and Rachael Lamet play the lottery and place the ticket on a bench in their bedroom.

When they wake up in the morning, it is lying on the ground completely destroyed.

Unfortunately, they didn't reckon with their two Alaskan Klee-Kais named Apple and Jack.

"For some reason we left the ticket on the ottoman and the dogs thought it was delicious," explains Rachel Lamet of the Oregon Lottery.

A labrador, on the other hand, really likes cabbage and plunders the neighbor's garden for it.

"I went to bed and when I woke up he was so eaten I thought he couldn't be checked."

But the man of the house disagrees and finds the whole situation hilarious.

"He said the ticket is a sure winner." So they send the scraps along with an explanation and photo of the dogs to the lottery company.

The lottery employees are a bit surprised, but take care of the unusual request without hesitation.

After all, they receive lots of lottery tickets in a wide variety of states.

Some were left in their jeans and washed, drowned in mud puddles or run over by cars, they report on their website.

But the fact that a banknote was eaten by a dog is a first, even for them.

Nevertheless, they get to work and painstakingly put the snippets back together.

Lo and behold, the bill is a winner.

Not quite as much as you might have hoped for - it brings in a whopping $8 (equivalent to around €7.80).

The couple is happy nonetheless, and a short time later receive a check from the Oregon Lottery.

"That's too funny," laughs Rachael.

“We will definitely be buying more chew toys for the dogs from this, they use up a lot of it.

We love them, but sometimes they're just crazy."
