The traveling cinema "Bewegliche Bilder" has brought plenty of film culture to the Schongau region - and attracted many viewers to the cinema seats.
The project may not remain a one-off thing.
District – For three weekends, Theresa Zwerschke and Elisa Schmitt traveled through the Schongau region with their traveling cinema “Bewegliche Bilder”.
In the luggage: beamer, screen - and a range of films that deal with the topic of home.
When the last short film flickered across the screen in Schwabniederhofen on Saturday, the extraordinary cultural project came to an end.
The 28-year-old cinema makers can now look back with satisfaction on the past few weeks.
"We were both incredibly excited about how many visitors came," says Zwerschke.
Especially at the performances in Kinsau, Peiting, Schwabniederhofen and Birkland, hardly a cinema seat remained free.
"Some spectators were even there five or six times," says Zwerschke.
The organizers are of course happy about that.
Mainly because this "group of regular visitors" was able to understand the concept and context of the films on a different level.
This repeatedly resulted in “nice conversations” – just as the organizers had imagined.

But Schmitt and Zwerschke also have positive memories of the evenings when fewer visitors came to the locations of the traveling cinema.
"In the smaller groups, the evenings had a different quality," says the 28-year-old.
"The conversations were more intimate there."
The films that have been shown in the Schongau region over the past weekend have provoked very different reactions from the viewers: from euphoria to irritation, everything was there.
Schmitt and Zwerschke had thought this through carefully in advance.
"We wanted to show a mix of feature films and more abstract films," says the 28-year-old.
"If there is a new series", the organizers want to build on the experience
The cinema makers have already often heard the question of how the project will continue: will there be a sequel to the traveling cinema next summer?
In an interview with the local newspaper, Zwerschke admits that there are no concrete plans for another program.
But: “We left here very enthusiastically.
I think we can already imagine doing it again.”

If the two women roll up "Bewegliche Bilder" again next summer, they definitely want to build on the experiences of the past few weeks.
A new cinema program would be based on this year's content.
"If there is a new series, we would change or vary this year's theme," says Zwerschke.

And in particular, the organizers would further intensify the cooperation with the cultural workers on site.
Zwerschke speaks about the Schongauer Land cultural association "LiccAmbra" and other "people who do cultural work on site in the region.
It would be nice to involve these people more in our planning.”
