After the meetings of the government delegation in Aleppo to follow up on the implementation of a number of service and development projects in the city, Prime Minister Hussein Arnous confirmed that Legislative Decree No. 13 granted Old Aleppo all facilities and exempted the owners of establishments of all kinds from all fees, burdens, taxes and their consequences.
In a statement to reporters, the Prime Minister considered that this decree with its articles exceeded the expectations of the people of Aleppo because it gave them the opportunity to speed up the revitalization of the old city.
Engineer Arnous explained that the first meeting reviewed the importance of this decree, which contributed to solving a number of problems facing the people of Aleppo, in addition to granting them banking facilities with exemption from interest in order to revive the economy and return life to the old city.
As for the second meeting, it was devoted, as indicated by the Prime Minister, to follow up on the projects that were approved after President Bashar al-Assad's visit to Aleppo, where the government transferred all the funds belonging to these projects to the relevant authorities to avoid slow implementation.
Engineer Arnous pointed out that the measures taken in this regard were reviewed, as the government team sensed the seriousness and initiation of work to finish it on time.
The Prime Minister concluded his statement by saying: This interest from President al-Assad to the city of Aleppo and this interaction on the part of the people of the city constitute two intertwined wills that we rely on to restore its luster.
