An official source in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants stated that “Syria expresses its deep regret over the forest fires that erupted in the Algerian provinces of El Tarf and Setif, which claimed the lives of a number of citizens and injured others.”
The source said: "Syria appreciates the efforts made by the Algerian government to confront the fires and expresses its fraternal sympathy with the leadership and people of brotherly Algeria over this casualty, and extends its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured."
