Industrialists and merchants from Aleppo: Legislative Decree No. 13 will contribute to restoring the luster of the old city and its markets

A number of industrialists and traders confirmed that Legislative Decree No. 13 will contribute significantly to restoring the glory of the old city of Aleppo and its markets, and will turn the economic wheel in many respects.

The head of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry, Faris Al-Shihabi, told reporters after the end of the meetings of the government delegation in Aleppo to follow up on the implementation of a number of service and development projects in the city.

In turn, the head of the Aleppo Chamber of Commerce, Amer Al-Hamwi, confirmed that the decree will revitalize the commercial markets in the old city, which is the economic nerve for all commercial, tourist and industrial businesses, in terms of activating all economic wheels in the province of Aleppo, which is the nucleus of the Syrian economy and the economic capital.

For his part, the head of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Tourism, Eng. Talal Khudair, explained that this step will facilitate the return of people to their shops and operate them again, so that in the coming period there will be serious and ambitious work to restore the luster of the old city and its markets.

For his part, a member of the Follow-up Committee of the Old City, Eng. Boutros Marjana, stated that this decree and the exemptions issued in it will have a very great reflection, especially in the time limits that were given, as it will constitute an incentive for merchants to return to the old city and revive it again.

The Prime Minister, Engineer Hussein Arnous, confirmed after the end of the meetings of the government delegation in Aleppo that Legislative Decree No. 13 granted Old Aleppo all facilities and exempted the owners of establishments of all kinds from all fees, burdens, taxes and their consequences.
