Well, there may very well be a specific place that almost all of us forget to clean.

According to cleaning experts, the dirtiest place in the living room and maybe in the whole house is... the area behind the large sofa.

Tapi's experts told the British "Sun" that "even though this is a very dirty place, only about a quarter of the people who participated in our study claimed that they clean behind the sofa on a weekly basis."

The sofa in the living room is perhaps the piece of furniture that we spend the most time on in the house.

Some of us also eat and drink on the couch to relax, and all of this is of course accompanied by a lot of dirt.

According to cleaning professionals, we should all clean behind the couch at least once every two weeks.

"You need to move the sofa from its original position and vacuum the area it is usually on, or clean the bottom with a rag if it is difficult to move the sofa."

They recommend using baking soda powder for a more thorough cleaning of the sofa fabric and to give it a better smell.

Leather sofas are easier to clean, but it's still important to make sure you use the right cleaning products to ensure you don't cause damage.
