with over 148 million followers, who in two years became popular all over the world with his comedy videos in which he expresses himself with gestures, has now become an Italian citizen.
After more than twenty years spent in Italy, where he arrived with his family, when he was one year old,
Khabane Serigne Lame,
known on social media as Khaby Lame, has acquired the rights granted to all Italians.

In the town hall of Chivasso (Turin), the city where he lives and where, in 2020, he started shooting his famous silent clips, the boy born in Dakar was sworn in before the Civil Status Officer.
The most popular tiktoker in the world was served a copy of the decree of the President of the Republic who granted him Italian citizenship on June 8th.
He was also honored by the Chivasso municipal administration with a copy of the Constitution of the Italian Republic, in addition to the pin of the City of Chivasso.
Visibly moved, Khaby Lame did not deny his origins in the popular neighborhood of via Togliatti, so much so that to keep him company, during this morning's ceremony, there was a childhood friend of his from the same neighborhood.
"I felt Italian even before today, like everyone else - said

- having always lived here. Signing the oath is a great responsibility".
The world has changed, says the influencer, since he arrived among the public housing in Chivasso: "but in our nothingness - he added - we were happy. We played in the courtyard, we were always with a smile. Today's is another world. to which I'm getting used to slowly ".
The Khaby Lame phenomenon exploded in full pandemic thanks to a series of ironic films, made at home, in which he expresses himself only with gestures, without a spoken language.
In June he became the tiktoker with the most followers in the world having ousted the American dancer Charli D'Amelio, who to date has 145 million followers.
