The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Moscow is actively cooperating with the United Nations in order to lift the ban on the export of fertilizers, grain and other Russian products.
In an interview with RIA Novosti, Director of the Department of International Organizations in the ministry Peter Ilyichev said, “With regard to the implementation of the United Nations’ special obligations to facilitate the export of Russian agricultural products, fertilizers and raw materials to world markets, it must be noted that we are actively cooperating with the United Nations Secretariat, which in turn is doing directed work with Washington. Brussels, and private foreign companies,” adding that the whole world, primarily developing countries, cares about the stability of international food markets.
Ilyichev stressed that resuming the normal work of supply chains and solving other tasks associated with ensuring food security cannot be achieved before removing the artificial and illegal Western barriers that Russian companies face in their work outside the country. We hope to achieve success.”
