Motorcyclist rams bus and throws against tree

In a long right-hand bend between Faistenhaar and Höhenkirchen, a motorcyclist crashed head-on into an oncoming bus on Wednesday evening.

– On Wednesday around 7 p.m., a 68-year-old Spaniard was on his motorcycle on Miesbacher Straße (St2367) from Faistenhaar (Brunnthal municipality) towards Höhenkirchen.

According to the police, in a long right-hand bend he got into the oncoming lane and crashed into a bus on line 216.

He sustained serious injuries.

A rescue helicopter landed and took the Spaniard to a clinic.

Police say the man will survive the accident.

The 51-year-old bus driver was unharmed, as was the only passenger.

Volunteer fire brigade Siegertsbrunn with 22 forces in action.

The Siegertsbrunn volunteer fire brigade was deployed with 22 forces.

Among other things, it secured the scene of the accident and the helicopter landing.

The state highway was closed for three hours.
