Fraud groups use high salaries, air tickets, food and accommodation to attract Chinese to work in Myanmar, Cambodia and other countries, and then force them to engage in electrical fraud.

The reporter recently discovered that the fourth Hong Kong citizen, Mr. D (pseudonym), who was trapped in Myanmar, was free for a time after arriving in Thailand and immediately bought a flight ticket to return to Hong Kong, but was denied boarding because he could not book a quarantine hotel.

Mr. D's father told reporters that he had called the police and the health department for help, but there was no response. A few days later, his son finally fell into the hands of a fraud group and is currently imprisoned in Myanmar.

He was disappointed with the actions of the Hong Kong government and missed the opportunity to rescue his son.

After arriving in Thailand, I regretted that I bought a flight ticket without a quarantine hotel and was denied boarding

At least three Hong Kong people were imprisoned in Myanmar's electricity fraud camp and forced to commit fraud. The reporter recently discovered the fourth Hong Kong person, Mr. D (pseudonym), who was trapped in Myanmar.

Mr. D's father told reporters that his son had mistakenly believed the online job advertisement, and was attracted by the description of high salary, package air tickets and accommodation. He went to Thailand alone in July without informing his parents.

However, he was not taken away by the fraudulent syndicate immediately after arriving in Po, and soon began to regret it and bought a plane ticket to return to Hong Kong.

He pointed out that Mr. D had completed the new crown virus test beforehand, but the local airport staff said that Mr. D had not reserved a quarantine hotel in Hong Kong and could not board the plane.

The family asked for help from the police health department and was taken away and imprisoned by a snake without a response

Mr. D's family had already called the police for help about his accidental fall into the scam, and had also called the Department of Health for help, hoping that the Department would grant an exemption to assist Mr. D in making quarantine arrangements after returning to Hong Kong: "But the Department of Health said that this case requires Let the police handle it." Mr. D's father has never heard back, and after staying in Thailand for several days, Mr. D was taken by a fraud group to an electric fraud camp in Myanmar, where he has been imprisoned to this day.

He admitted that it was very difficult to successfully book a quarantine hotel during his son's stay in Thailand, and he was disappointed that the government department did not allow his son to board the plane: "If he got on the plane that day, he would be in Hong Kong now."

He also pointed out that he is worried that his son will be resold to other parks. Even if he has already asked the Hong Kong police for help, he does not know how the police will rescue him: "Do you only inform the Thai police and wait for the local action, (the Hong Kong government) everyone sits and waits together. ?"

Deputy Secretary for Security: We do not know the situation at present

Speaking to reporters today, Deputy Secretary for Security Cheuk Hau-yip said that the authorities have set up an inter-departmental team to deal with it.

He said that overseas Hong Kong people are now safe and should book a quarantine hotel through normal channels to return to Hong Kong.
