Starnberg - The renovation work in the Starnberg Schlossberghalle is taking longer than planned.
The work was originally scheduled to be completed by mid-November 2022.
According to the new construction schedule, the city administration expects completion at the end of December, so that the Schlossberghalle will be available again for events and meetings after the Christmas holidays from January 2023.
All organizers who had reserved an appointment in the Schlossberghalle in November and December have already been informed by the Schlossberghallen administration.
You now have the option to find an alternative venue or to reschedule your event.
Various reasons are responsible for the delay in the construction schedule: During the work, it was found that the fire protection deficiencies in the existing building were much more extensive than assumed at the beginning of the renovation.
In addition, after an inspection by a fire protection expert, there were major planning changes to the fire alarm system and the safety lighting.
There was also a considerable amount of extra work in the area of electrical wiring, since more areas had to be rewired or partially improper wiring had to be removed.
In addition, there were delivery problems with the building materials.
To the background
The renovation of the Schlossberghalle started in March 2022 in order to bring the event hall up to date technically and thus also to meet the current fire protection requirements.
The refurbishment work includes replacing the lighting in the large hall, replacing the electrical wiring and the ventilation devices in the foyer, in the large and small hall and the safety lighting, measures to improve fire protection and the expansion of the fire alarm system in the area of the foyer and the adjoining rooms.
