Lebanese sources said today (Thursday) that the American mediator in the maritime border issue is expected to return to the Land of Cedars in the last week of the end of August.
According to the sources, it seems that this is related to new threats from Hezbollah.
Sources told the "Al-Bana'" newspaper that "the resistance will soon send a military message to the Israeli enemy as a response to the policy of procrastination and maneuvering on the issue."
The sources estimated that the message would come before Hochstein's visit to Lebanon.
In addition to this, the Lebanese newspaper learned that the American mediator Amos Hochstein is in Greece and at the end of the month he will meet with senior officials in Beirut who are waiting for Israel's answer to the proposal regarding the maritime border.
At the same time, a newspaper associated with the opposition to Hezbollah claimed that the terrorist organization actually needs "heroic propaganda".
In this context, Nasrallah is expected to give a speech tomorrow on the occasion of the anniversary of the Second Lebanon War.
In recent weeks, conflicting reports have been published regarding the Lebanese negotiations. Among other things, it was reported on a Lebanese website that Israel rejected the Lebanese proposal presented to it by Hochstein. However, the news was later denied.
As I recall, Lebanon was outraged more than a month ago over the arrival of a shark rig in the drilling area in the northern territorial waters of Israel.
The rig is located far from the maritime border route in front of the Lebanese position, but officials in the Land of the Cedars claimed that it was nevertheless an exception to "disputed" territory.
Against this background, the threats from Hezbollah increased.
