Prime Minister of Finland, Sanna Marin, caused a stir after a video of her partying with her friends and apparently drunk was uploaded to social media after being leaked online.
In the video, which features at least one other senior member of the ruling party as well as a YouTube star and a local singer, the 36-year-old prime minister is seen dancing, clucking her tongue and posing for the camera.
Conservative elements in the country condemned the conduct of the prime minister and claimed that it was not appropriate for a sitting head of state.
Alexander Volbari, a well-known news and sports broadcaster in the country, even called on the prime minister to resign and said: "This is the most incompetent prime minister in our history."
Marin drew fire in the past when pictures of her at concerts and parties were published and even within her party they claimed that she often participates in social events and does not devote enough time to state affairs.
At the same time, Marin is considered popular among large sections of the public and her liberal policies, along with the young and light image of her government, receive a lot of support in the northern country.
