Federal police officers picked up two ten-year-olds between Baldham and Zorneding who were in the track area and had previously climbed onto a railway power pole.

– Early on Wednesday evening (August 17), the Munich - Rosenheim railway line had to be closed because of the message: "Children on the track".
Federal police officers picked up two ten-year-olds between Baldham and Zorneding who were in the track area and had previously climbed onto a railway power pole.
This was announced by the federal police.
Railway overhead line had to be switched off
At around 5.5 p.m., the emergency control center of Deutsche Bahn AG reported: "Children on a railway power pole near the tracks".
The Munich - Rosenheim railway line was immediately closed and the power to the approximately 15,000 volt overhead railway line was switched off.
Train traffic to and from Munich was completely suspended!
As far as possible, trains and S-Bahn trains were held back at stations and stops.
Helicopter searches the route over a large area
A federal police patrol picked up two ten-year-olds who were in the track area between Baldham and Zorneding.
In addition, a helicopter from the Federal Police Air Squadron Oberschleißheim searched the route over a large area to rule out that there were other children there or that they were hiding from the police.
The two ten-year-olds from Baldham were handed over to legal guardians and instructed in detail.

Incident with significant impact on rail traffic
After the route was closed for almost 45 minutes, rail traffic was able to start again at around 6.10 p.m. - with some considerable effects on rail operations.
