The body of the able artist Antoinette Naguib was buried today from the Church of the Cross in Damascus, in the presence of a group of artists and her fans, where a mass and a funeral was held to comfort herself so that her burial body was buried in the Bab Sharqi cemetery of the Roman Orthodox.
With much sorrow and sadness, the artistic community mourned their loss, the affectionate mother “Tony,” as described by many of her colleagues, expressing their pain for the loss of a great artistic stature and a warm, affectionate heart that included in his love the hearts of all Syrians through statements to SANA.
With letters filled with love and devotion to the soul of the deceased, the head of the Artists Syndicate, Mohsen Ghazi, stated that the departure of the great mother, with her heart and tenderness, Antoinette Naguib, left a great sadness in the artistic community at all levels, as she is the master of creativity and a loyal mother who is devoted to her artistic project.
Ghazi indicated that she is one of the founders of the Syrian drama with its ancient artistic generation, pointing to the abundant humanity that was characterized by loyalty, sincerity and enthusiasm for its tireless participation in all occasions, especially humanitarian and community events.
With warm tears, her grandson, the artist Fadi Al-Shami, bid farewell to his grandmother with the word “God have mercy on you. May your soul rest in peace” after the pain she suffered in the recent period, as she fell ill during the past periods, as a result of which she entered the intensive care unit and her health declined after undergoing periodic dialysis sessions.
Al-Shami indicated that her satisfaction with him before her departure was a source of peace in his heart, indicating that in all the roles that she embodied on television or in films, he found the mother, the friend and the star from which he was inspired by the secrets of art and creativity, and she has a great credit for his artistic career.
In turn, the able artist Fadia Khattab lamented the late Antoinette Naguib in a few words and said, "She did not leave, but is still present and immortal in our minds. She is the great actress known for her absolute spontaneity in her performance and true in her embodiment of love, loyalty and sincerity. our souls.”
The able artist, Wafaa Moussalli, spoke about the artistic past that she collected, describing it with a history full of immortal and influential works.
The star, Milad Youssef, confirmed that the loss of Antoinette Naguib is sadness and sorrow, as the news of her separation drew a tape full of memories, so she immortalized on the personal level of everyone surrounding her in the artistic community a lasting impact, her spirit is present and her position is high and her mark is great in the field of art.
“A great event struck my heart, with a shock that I cannot comprehend.” Thus, the Vice President of the Artists Syndicate, Hadi Parsley, expressed his sadness at the loss of Syrian art, a great stature and a heart full of humanity, speaking of the depth of the relationship that I had with him for 35 years of friendship and spiritual partnership in many areas of life. The artist, Salma Al-Masry, called her "Tony", as all her loved ones used to call her by that nickname, which indicates the childhood of her heart, explaining that she left in body and her spirit still remains in everyone's hearts and conscience.
Al-Masry stated that Mother Naima's details are still firmly rooted in the heart of her family, as we have known her in the scenes of the four seasons.
It is noteworthy that the able artist, Antoinette Najib, died at the age of 92 after a long career in which she participated in hundreds of plays, films and series.
