The Palestinian presidency affirmed that the Israeli occupation forces' closure of human rights and civil institutions is a crime and a blatant attack on Palestinian civil society institutions and the international human rights system as a whole.

In a statement today, carried by Wafa Agency, the presidency condemned the closure of the occupation at dawn today, seven human rights and civil institutions in the cities of Ramallah and Al-Bireh in the West Bank, and the seizure of some of their contents, noting the importance of these institutions in exposing the crimes of the occupation and exposing them to the world.

The presidency called on the international community to take immediate action to protect the Palestinian people and stop the violations of the occupation.

For his part, the Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Hussein Al-Sheikh, explained that the occupation forces’ storming of civil work institutions and their closure is a dangerous escalation and an attempt to silence the voice of truth and justice, noting that the organization will communicate with all international bodies and human rights institutions for immediate intervention to condemn this attack and pressure the occupation to reopen and practice Its activity is completely free.
