(CNN Spanish) --
Nine miners who were trapped in a mine in the municipality of Lenguzaque, Cundinamarca, were rescued after several hours of work, reported the National Mining Agency of Colombia.
When announcing the news, Juan Miguel Durán, director of the National Mining Agency, did not report the health status of the rescued miners.
The governor of Cundinamarca, Nicolás García, reported this Wednesday on his Twitter account, while the men were still trapped, that the 9 miners were "in good condition, they receive air and serum has been supplied to them."
The events occurred at the El Bosque mine, located in the municipality of Lenguazaque, in Cundinamarca, located about 116 km north of Bogotá.
