A fighter in the Givat patrol fired a bullet at his friend last night (Wednesday) while traveling in an armored military vehicle, near Yosef's tomb, during a security activity for worshipers.
The bullet was fired at the warrior's chest and was stopped by the ceramic protective vest he was wearing.
The IDF spokesperson stated that the incident is being investigated.
The clashes at Yosef's Tomb in Nablus broke out last night and continued throughout the night between Palestinians and the security forces. In the exchange of fire, Vasim Kalifa, an 18-year-old young man from the Balta refugee camp, was killed. During the incident, fire was opened at an IDF jeep.
According to the Red Crescent report, 17 Palestinians were injured by gunfire, shrapnel and tear gas.
