A strong thunderstorm partially paralyzed traffic in Weilheim on Thursday around 6 p.m.
Weilheim
– Within 20 minutes, so much rain came down that numerous underpasses, such as here on Schützenstrasse, were full – drivers had to think carefully about whether they still wanted to drive through there.
Some risked it, some turned around - and then stood in front of the next full street.
Drivers had to watch out for huge puddles everywhere.
The integrated control center spoke of “five to six operations”, only Weilheim was affected – it could be a foretaste of Friday, when the German Weather Service warned of “extremely heavy continuous rain” in the entire district from 6 a.m. all day long.
