The judicial court of Créteil sentenced this Thursday four police officers to 6 months in prison, suspended, for acts of violence committed in

The four police officers, perpetrators of violence against two brothers, who themselves called the police in 2012 in Vincennes, were sentenced to six months in prison suspended by the Créteil court on Thursday.

A sentence slightly higher than that requested by the prosecution during the hearing on June 29.

At the time of the events, these officials were members of the Anti-Crime Squad (BAC), and are now senior or retired.

The court of Créteil recognizes the police officers guilty of intentional violence and retains the aggravating circumstances of violence in meetings and with the use of weapons.

However, this conviction will not be recorded in their criminal record.

A fifth police officer, trainee and not belonging to the BAC in 2012, who was tried for violence against the victim's brother, was released last June.

A case dating back more than 10 years

On March 17, 2012, a man named Brice called the police to warn them of a conflict: a friend, who had argued with his girlfriend, was threatened by a shopkeeper brandishing a knife.

Brice then telephones his eldest, Franck.

The two brothers say they tried to control the situation while waiting for the arrival of the police, followed by a team from the BAC as reinforcements.

Everything changed, according to them, when one of the agents gave "a punch" to their friend, describes Franck.

"In two seconds", he and his brother, 34 and 31, are handcuffed.

"We made sure that my fingers touched my forearms," says Franck.

Medical findings will report a bone tearing and a broken vertebra.

Twenty-one days of ITT for Franck, two for Brice.

On March 17, 2012, the brothers were then uncuffed, without legal action.

For the police, whom the prosecution also accused of tonfa blows and a strangulation key, the two brothers were virulent.

One of the police officers, who is accused of having given blows with a telescopic baton, had affirmed at the bar "not to have had the information" that the situation had already been brought under control.

He had pleaded to have acted "in an emergency" thinking "to intervene for violence against a woman with a knife carrier".
