Minister of Finance, Dr. Kinan Yaghi, confirmed that Legislative Decree No. 13 includes a set of exemptions for all economic activities operating in commercial markets, pointing out that the revival of the old city is a revival of the city of Aleppo with all its components and economic, social, heritage and tourism dimensions.
In a statement to reporters after the end of the meetings of the government delegation in Aleppo to follow up on the implementation of a number of service and development projects in the city, Yaghi explained that the decree includes a set of exemptions, including the exemption of owners of economic and population activities from all allowances and restoration fees until the end of 2023 and the exemption of economic activities from fees and taxes associated with a tax on Profits, salaries, wages, and taxes related to the stamp duty for all transactions related to economic activities for the next five years and a cessation of all old taxes and fees on economic activities operating in the old markets, which include taxes and direct fees, and include real estate tax and other fees and taxes.
