SV Reichling has existed for 75 years: this was recently celebrated in the village community center and on the sports field.

Reichling

– The occasion was celebratory, and the number of visitors to the Reichling village community center was large: at the festive evening celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Reichlinger sports club, SV chairman Hermann Jahl recalled that the first soccer field with shovels and pickaxes had already been created in 1933.

"The sports club was founded in 1947 and the space was further expanded," says Jahl.

The chronicle shows that after the founding year, the farmers were asked to donate food for the footballers.

Jahl could still remember how sacks of sawdust from the local sawmill were brought in by the footballers to saw the lines on the sports field.

"All this belongs to the past, but sport still connects people today," said the SVR boss.

Certificates and blankets with the club logo

This was also proven by the many helpers at the festival weekend.

Young members of the club who are committed to the sport, which is offered in a variety of ways in the club, and an active board of directors were also responsible for the smooth running of the event, catering and entertainment.

Loyal members were also honored at the festive evening, as were deserving members of the board.

They received certificates and cuddly blankets with the club logo as gifts of honor.

The honors were presented by the District Chairman of the Bavarian State Sports Association (BLSV), Rainer Waschke, and the District Football Association Chairman (BFV) Heinz Eckl.

In their words of welcome, both spoke of the importance of the sport and thanked the club and its members for their valuable work.

Association badge of honor in gold several times

Hermann Jahl and Kathi Huber alternately moderated the awards.

Monika Christl has been a member of the Reichlinger Sportverein for 34 years, Willi Ehrlich for 37 and Konrad Noll for 70 years.

Max Dittrich has been a member of the association for 38 years and was a member of the board for six years.

But the honors went even further: Edwin Eldner received the Association Badge of Honor in Gold (BFV) and the Badge of Merit in Gold (BLSV).

Eldner has been with the club for 47 years.

He was vice-chairman for 25 years, a youth coach for a number of years, was instrumental in building and renovating the sports buildings and was always there when there was work to be done on and around the pitch.

Also honored the chairman

Josef Harrer can already look back on 50 years of membership and was in charge of the club's finances as treasurer for 39 years.

He is still active as a youth coach.

He received the Association Badge of Honor in Gold (BFV) and the Badge of Merit in Gold with a Large Wreath (BLSV).

Hermann Jahl has been a member of the club for 45 years, was head of the football department for four years, second head of the tennis department for twelve years and has been on the board of the sports club since 2006.

He received the Association Badge of Honor in Gold (BFV) and the Medal of Merit in Silver (BLSV).

The Badge of Honor in Gold (BLSV) was also presented to Alexander Graf for ten years as an assessor on the board.

He has been a member of the association for 47 years.

Organized the Lech Cup

Heidi Höbel has been a member of the SVR for 35 years.

She was the second head of the tennis department for eleven years, has been an assessor since 2007 and has been a trainer for girls' gymnastics since 2004.

For her commitment, she received the Silver and Gold Medal of Merit (BLSV).

Bärbel Schwentzek has been a member of the sports club for over 40 years.

In 1981 she laid the foundation for mother-child gymnastics.

She was also head of the department and trainer for women's gymnastics for many years, has been an assessor since 2007 and was secretary of the tennis department from 1993 until recently.

For this she was presented with the Gold Badge of Merit (BLSV).

Finally, the game "Young vs. Old"

The 75th anniversary of the SVR was also celebrated in sports: The Reichlinger Lech Cup was organized in which SV Apfeldorf won against Rott in a penalty shoot-out.

There was also a kind of "Sports Day" where all the departments introduced themselves and what they had to offer.

At the end of the anniversary celebrations, the "old" champion team Reichlings won the "victory of the heart" when they went into a duel with the current first team.

Fathers fought against sons or uncles against nephews.

It was a joy and a successful conclusion to the festival with the cheers of the numerous spectators.

It wasn't that important that the boys won 4-0, the joy was written all over their faces.
