The Civil Guard investigates the alleged beneficiaries and wonders how the alarms did not go off in the DGT when the same person accumulated a huge list of infractions

The Civil Guard investigates 91 motorists for evading payment in money and fine points for serious traffic offenses committed by them.

They did so by hiring the illegal services of a resident of Valencia, who declared himself the author of the outrage, took charge of the sanction, freed the real perpetrators and assumed the loss of points on his own driving license.

The false offender, AH, 28 years old and Armenian nationality, had his permit withdrawn, lacked authorization to drive motorcycles and had accumulated in the files of the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) an endless list of infractions, which had meant losing 321 points (starting from 12 positives) without the alarms going off until now.

The person under investigation, who received between 75 and 200 euros per assigned point (and the amount of the fine),

It all started on the Balearic island last year, at kilometer 4.5 of the Ma-1 road, between Palma and Andratx, when a motorcyclist almost ran over a civil guard by skipping a breathalyser control at full speed where he had been given notice to stop.

The agents wrote down the license plate and sent several complaints for serious infractions to the Provincial Traffic Headquarters.

In a few days, the alleged driver of the motorcycle had already presented allegations.

An Armenian citizen had taken responsibility for everything.

The Traffic Investigation and Analysis Group (GIAT) of the armed institute in the Balearic Islands verified in the first instance that the declared offender did not have a motorcycle permit and that "he had a loss of validity of his driving license, emanating from the Traffic Headquarters of Valencia ”, According to a joint statement from the DGT and the Civil Guard released this morning.

The first consequence: he was accused of false documentation, while the owner of the motorcycle and a friend of his were located and investigated, supposedly for helping him fill out the resource with the information of the false motorcyclist.

What came later "powerfully caught the attention" of the agents, they acknowledge.

They obtained the history of offenses from AH He had endless serious offenses, all with the same characteristics: they involved the loss of points on the permit, the owners of the motorcycles were another person who, when notified by the DGT of the sanction, identified the Armenian citizen as driver at the time of the offence.

And the big surprise: "This person had a negative balance of -321 points on the driving license in the DGT files."

The question is: how could he accumulate a loss of points equivalent to those that 20 to 30 drivers have during their lifetime?

“We all ask ourselves that,” replied a source from the armed institute familiar with the case.

The false offender acted impudently.

the sale of driving license points at between 75 and 200 euros each, in addition to the amount of the penalty for the infraction.

He didn't mind saying that he was the driver of a motorcycle that was actually driven by a woman, nor did he mind presenting himself as a driver of vehicles for companies where he had never worked or where they were far from his house.

The day of the infraction that served to locate him, he was not even in Mallorca, but in Valencia, where he lives.

Social networks were his communication system, according to the armed institute.

Now 91 people are being investigated, who have been charged, for their alleged involvement in a crime of false documents.

The investigations extend to Madrid, the Valencian Community, Aragon, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Castilla y León, Murcia, Galicia, Cantabria, Navarra, the Basque Country, Extremadura, Catalonia, La Rioja and Andalusia.

Some have already received a visit or communication from the Civil Guard.

"New investigations are not ruled out as the operation is in the exploitation phase, since new fraudulent files could be detected," he adds.
