Shock and amazement dominate in Corsica nearly 48 hours after the passage of a violent storm, Thursday morning, which left five dead and 20 injured, four of them seriously.
A sixth death had been announced by mistake by the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin from Corsica, before his services returned to this information.
The resident of Place Beauvau went on Friday morning to Calvi (Haute-Corse) in campsites violently affected by bad weather.
As a reminder, a 46-year-old French tourist was the victim of a tree falling on his bungalow at the Olympic Club holiday village known as “CO Soleil de Calvi”.
At the same time, a 23-year-old Italian holidaymaker was seriously injured by a falling tree at the Dolce Vita campsite:
