A happy 41st birthday to Meghan Markle has reignited the smoldering title debate, with a well-wisher calling her "Princess Meghan".

The resentment that Meghan has appeared as the Duchess of Sussex since she left the crown has flared up again.

This time with consequences?

MONTECITO – A fellow actor's congratulations to "Princess Meghan" has revived heated discussions about Meghan Markle's (41) title use.

Since Meghan and her royal husband Prince Harry (37) retired from the royal family, they have been officially stripped of their HRH titles.

The "Duke" and "Duchess" titles were a gift from Queen Elizabeth II (96) who has repeatedly been asked to take them back.

Controversial discussion about Meghan's use of the title flares up again

Former actor Tyler Perry (52) congratulated the Duchess of Sussex on her new year with a picture of Meghan kissing a little girl's hand and ended his post with the words

: "It fills me with joy to say Princess Meghan Happy Birthday “.

Many fans happily joined in with further congratulations to "Princess Meghan".

But is she still entitled to the title?

Meghan's status withstands the fact check: Since Harry, as the son of the heir to the throne, has the title "Prince" as his birthright, he will remain a prince even after resigning from his royal duties.

Accordingly, Meghan is "Princess Henry" by virtue of her marriage, as Kate Middleton (40) has also been "Princess William" since her marriage to Prince William (40).

The Queen bestowed the title of Duke of Sussex on her grandson's marriage to Meghan Markle, with both Meghan and Kate opting to wear their duchess titles.

It is in the hands of the Queen whether Meghan remains "princess" and "duchess".

Again and again, however, demands were made that the ducal couple of Sussex should be deprived of their predicates.

Royal expert Angela Levin previously commented on "Dailymail" with words of incomprehension: "I may be wrong, I hope so, but my impression is that they don't want to be royals and are still very attached to their titles.

Whenever Meghan goes anywhere, she always uses her royal title.

But why would you do that if you don't like the royal family and want to get away from them?"

Although royal biographer Katie Nicholl (42) would also like to see the title revoked, she currently assesses the Queen's attitude differently in the British "Express": "I think it would be very unlikely that the Queen would revoke Harry's title".

Why else would even the Royal Family congratulate Meghan as the "Duchess of Sussex"?

Even if opponents sometimes find it ironic, Meghan rightly uses the titles princess and duchess, but is not allowed to call herself HRH (Her Royal Highness), that's what the monarch wants and only she could change these facts.
