On site, it turned out that a dog had caught the end of her tail in the cogs of a stair lift.
She was trapped there, reports 24RHEIN.
"The nine-month-old dog lady was looked after by her master and fortunately was very calm," said the fire brigade.
In order to free the dog from her predicament, the emergency services had to dismantle the stairlift piece by piece.
They obtained the necessary instructions beforehand by telephone from the maintenance technician for the device.
After about an hour, the mission was over and the dog was free again.
We then went to the vet to be on the safe side.
It is not known how the bitch is doing.
Firefighters in North Rhine-Westphalia had to free a dog in July.
At that time, emergency services in Düsseldorf rescued a dog from a smoke-filled apartment after a fire.
