The head of the Russian State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, stressed that the United States is ready to do anything and sacrifice the well-being and livelihood of citizens and the economy of Europe to preserve its power and hegemony over the world.
“Washington condemns Europe to hunger, cold and isolation,” RIA Novosti news agency quoted Volodin as saying. “In the United States, the price of gas today is 333 dollars per thousand cubic meters, and it sells it to Europe at a cost 7.3 times higher, which makes the economy of the European Union unable to compete,” noting that Inflation in Europe has already reached a record level.
He pointed out that the abnormal heat that erupted in Europe severely damaged agriculture, as crops are 20 percent lower compared to last year. In addition, there is a shortage of electricity and an increase in its cost six times a year.
Volodin added that "decisions related to European countries' refusal of Russian energy, cutting economic cooperation with our country and banning entry of Russian citizens were taken under pressure from Washington."
Volodin considered that those responsible for implementing the American policy in Europe are Britain, which abandoned the European Union and the countries that left only the name of sovereignty, which are Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Ukraine.. This alliance against Russia, which hopes to obtain American help, also includes Poland, the Czech Republic and Finland.
