A young man in his 20s drowned today (Saturday) in a public swimming pool in the north of the Jezreel Valley.

Medical teams were called to the scene after she was pulled from the water unconscious.

He was taken to the Emek Hospital in Afula in a critical condition during resuscitation operations, but finally the doctors had to pronounce him dead.



MDA paramedic, Maor Atdegi, said: "We saw a 20-year-old unconscious man on the edge of the pool, without breathing and without a pulse. People there told us that they took him out of the water when he was unconscious and began to perform basic CPR on him. We gave him life-saving medical treatment that included giving him Electric shocks and advanced and prolonged resuscitation operations, we continued to fight for his life while evacuating him to the hospital when his condition was critical."

Earlier this week, a 19-year-old kayaker drowned in the Sea of ​​Galilee after being missing for about an hour in the water.

Medical teams pulled him out of the water and evacuated him in critical condition, and during resuscitation operations to Furia Hospital in Tiberias, where the doctors had to pronounce him dead.



MDA medics Shlomi Peretz and Nissim Hilleli said: "When we arrived at the scene, we saw the rescuers taking an unconscious 19-year-old young man out of the Sea of ​​Galilee on a kayak, without breathing and without a pulse, after he had been missing for about an hour in the water.

We transferred him to the beach and immediately began advanced and prolonged resuscitation operations and after resuscitation efforts on the beach we evacuated him to the hospital while continuing efforts to fight for his life."
