ARD boss Tom Buhrow publicly withdrew his confidence in RBB after the Patricia Schlesinger scandal.
It now needs a fresh start.
Berlin – In response to the affair surrounding the RBB director Patricia Schlesinger, who has since been recalled, the ARD leadership has now withdrawn its confidence in the Berlin state offer.
"We, the directors of ARD, no longer have confidence that the station's management will be able to process the various incidents quickly enough," said ARD boss Tom Buhrow on Saturday in Cologne.
The WDR director took over the ARD chairmanship from Schlesinger at the beginning of August for the period up to the end of the year.
She had given this up before she took office as RBB director.

Above all, the 63-year-old criticized the fact that the ARD leadership would only ever find out about new allegations from the press.
He emphasized that the RBB now needs a fresh start.
"This will also have to affect the broadcaster's current management," Buhrow explained.
It is questionable that the RBB can be stabilized with its previous line-up, emphasized the ARD boss.
Exactly this is "in the elementary interest of the ARD, the long-suffering employees and also the people in the RBB broadcasting area".
In discussions with

, WDR director Buhrow reiterated his position.
"Our trust is currently gone," said the 63-year-old.
This also meant that committee meetings at the ARD level would initially be held without representatives of the RBB.
"Unfortunately, the incidents in Berlin show that individuals can also endanger the whole of the broadcaster family," explains the ARD boss.
RBB before a new start: the chair of the Broadcasting Council also resigns
Buhrow interpreted the resignation of the RBB Broadcasting Council Chairwoman Frederike von Kirchbach as an important step.
This set "the signal for a far-reaching new start at RBB".
Kirchbach had said in the morning: "The RBB is about to make a new start.
After ten years as Chair of the Broadcasting Council, I would like to make a contribution and make my position available.”
New allegations have been made almost daily against the former RBB director Patricia Schlesinger in recent weeks.
Among other things, the 61-year-old is said to have billed private dinners as expenses and paid for luxurious office equipment via RBB.

journalist Gerhard Spörl and against the resigned RBB chief controller Wolf-Dieter Wolf.
