Today, the Human Resources Association, in cooperation with the Interactive Educational Portal and the Al-Mabarrah Women's Association for Social Development and Orphans Sponsorship in Damascus, launched an initiative to introduce university specializations appropriate to the students' personality, at the headquarters of the Al-Mabra Association in Damascus.
The initiative program focuses on a series of lectures on how to make the appropriate decision, professional and academic guidance for successful students in the General Secondary Certificate exams, introducing the portal, online learning, and an orientation test through practical experiences, in addition to a lecture on independent work, entrepreneurship, university scholarships and specializations within the table.
Director of the Human Resources Association, Dr. Munir Abbas Bayn, told SANA that the aim of launching the initiative, titled (Wahala Lewin), is to provide professional and academic guidance to the successful, indicating that it targets all students in Syria through electronic forms and questionnaires for inclinations consisting of 93 questions clarifying the specialization The forms are available on the association's website and the websites of its partners, and they know the university's specializations and the future labor market for it.
Director of the Interactive Educational Portal, Aya Al-Kanj, explained that the orientation test on the portal website is a global measure that helps the student to choose the appropriate university major for him based on his personal preferences, pointing out that the lectures that will be presented are from academic people and their aim is to help the student choose his university major based on the labor market. So that the student is acquainted with the basics that enable him to know the requirements of the labor market and to identify the pros and cons of his personality.
The Executive Director of Al-Mabra Association, Rana Al-Baba, indicated that the programs carried out by the association in the field of social development focus on the role of youth by directing young people to know their appropriate specialization, indicating that the association’s future plans are to reduce school dropout and return the largest possible number of children to school through The association’s centers in which free lessons are given in various subjects for orphaned children.
A number of students indicated the importance of taking the initiative in identifying university majors and clarifying the importance of each major in life, the subjects taught during the university period, the options for graduate studies, and job opportunities after graduation.
