The municipality of Bad Heilbrunn would like to set up a large day care center.
Rooms are available, what is missing, the right childminders.
Bad Heilbrunn – The demand for childcare places is growing in almost all municipalities in the district.
This is also the case in Bad Heilbrunn.
An additional offer is now to be created in the former rooms of the guest information on Wörnerweg, namely a large day care with space for ten children of crèche age, i.e. under three years of age.
While the renovation can start soon, there is a lack of staff.
So far there is no childminder.
Approval for the necessary conversion is available
"Last week we finally received the approval for the necessary conversion of the rooms and could start work," says Mayor Thomas Gründl in an interview with the courier.
The plan is to convert the premises so that they meet the requirements specified by the district office.
In concrete terms, this means putting in a wall, moving the kitchen and adapting the toilets for both small children and the staff.

In addition, space is needed for ten small beds for the boys and girls who are to be looked after there in the future.
In addition, the garden area should be fenced off.
According to Gründl, around 20,000 to 25,000 euros are estimated for these conversion measures.
However, an exact date for the start of construction has not yet been set.
"We have to see when we can get craftsmen for it," he explains.
There are already eleven registrations for the ten places
The plan is for one childminder to look after five children.
"As a municipality, we basically only provide the premises and the childminders can then take care of five children here on a freelance basis," Gründl explains the project.
Seats will be allocated based on who registers first.
"But we already have eleven applications for the ten childcare places."
So there would be enough space for enough applicants.
But the community is desperately looking for childminders.
As reported, a 31-year-old Tölzerin had already announced and introduced herself as the future childminder, but now there has been a change and she is no longer available for this job.
"I can't give any more precise reasons," says Gründl when asked.

So far you have a new application.
"We have already advertised the search for a day care person on the Internet," says Gründl.
In order to work as a childminder, you need a care permit, which is issued by the youth welfare office.
The district office offers courses for this.
"The municipality would also take over the training costs incurred," emphasizes Gründl.
Since the day care workers then act freelance, they are not prescribed any fixed times by the municipality, explains the mayor.
