Oleksandr Usyk defeats Anthony Joshua in rematch to retain his heavyweight championship belts

After twelve rounds, the Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk defeated Briton Anthony Joshua by points in the “Fury at the Red Sea”.

After twelve rounds, Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk defeated Britain's Anthony Joshua on points in the "Fury on the Red Sea," as this fight was known, the rematch after the September 2021 fight in the that Usyk took the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles from Joshua.

It was a split decision.

One judge scored Sunday's fight at King Abdullah Sports City Arena 115-113 for Joshua, with the other two deciding 115-113 and 116-112 for Usyk.
