The Russian Defense Ministry announced today the elimination of hundreds of extremists and mercenaries, including Americans and Ukrainian soldiers, and the destruction of Ukrainian military sites with high-precision strikes launched by the Russian armed forces.
Russia Today website quoted the Ministry's spokesman, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov, as saying in a media briefing that the Russian armed forces targeted and eliminated more than 100 militants in the Andreivka region, including 20 American mercenaries, noting that at least 200 extremists were also eliminated and more than 150 were wounded. The result of high-precision Russian air strikes in the Velikomykhailovka district of Dnepropetrovsk.
Konashenkov added that the Russian forces targeted the combat positions of the tank battalion of the 28th Ukrainian mechanized brigade in the village of Kislevka in Nikolaev region, as well as the 212th battalion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Apostolovo region of Dnipropetrovsk, which led to the elimination of more than 200 Ukrainian soldiers.
He pointed out that about 130 militants were also eliminated with high-precision strikes on the area of the 127th Regional Defense Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in north Kharkov, in addition to the destruction of two tanks and seven special vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and more than 200 militants were killed in Donetsk with high-precision air missiles.
Konashenkov said that Russian air defense systems had dropped 13 MLRS shells in the area of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station in Kherson and Melitopol in the Zaporozhye region.
