An initiative of friends and relatives is currently collecting donations for the family of the SC Inhauser Moos member who died in an accident on Sunday.

1860 Munich is already one of the biggest supporters of the campaign!

Dachau/Munich/Freising

– Moritz W., as his friends from SC Inhauser Moos remember, was perhaps not “our best striker or technician”.

But the 36-year-old, everyone agrees, was "such a positive, passionate, bright, energetic person that everyone who knew him had fun with him"!

However, this radiance, this light, went out forever on Sunday.

Moritz W., who lived in Freising, had a fatal accident with his Honda on State Road 2054 between Weichs and Glonn.

For reasons that are still unknown, he lost control of his motorcycle in a long curve and crashed head-on into an oncoming Ford. Moritz W. died on the spot (we reported).

After the initial shock of the loss, his friends and family members have now decided to take a special action.

"All for Moritz" is the name of the initiative that aims to collect money for Moritz W's wife and their four children with the help of local media and social networks.

As his friends report, W., who spent his childhood in Lohhof in the Munich district, was the sole breadwinner and earned his living as a plumber in Munich.

Meanwhile, his wife looked after the four boys – three of them toddlers, one not even a year old.

Since the social media campaign began on Thursday, over 3,000 people from across the region have announced their support.

The family received hundreds of messages.

Yesterday, the "All for Moritz" team also announced a collaboration with the "Verein Freunde der Waisenkinder eV" from Munich.

The aim: to provide the four boys with social security in the medium to long term.

Although, it is important for the "Alle für Moritz" creators to emphasize: "We would also be happy about offers of family help, excursions or the like.

Anything that will make life easier for the family in the coming weeks.”

Speaking of family: In addition to his relatives, Moritz W. was also a proud and active member of the "lion family", as his friends report.

Even as a baby, he drove to the stadium on Grünwalder Straße with his father to support his six-year-olds.

TSV 1860 Munich gave him this love back on Friday evening.

15,000 lion fans commemorated Freisinger with a minute's silence.

In addition, Löwen investor Hasan Ismaik promised to send his first team to a benefit game at SC Inhauser Moos.

Moritz W. will also be remembered at the next game of his SC Inhauser Moos, to whom he had remained loyal for so many years, this Sunday, August 21, at 2:30 p.m. against Lohhof.
