Storms rage in Italy: storm video surfaced – gondolas from the Ferris wheel apparently demolished

While the storm in Austria claimed five lives, Bavaria is struggling with heavy rain and flooding in many places.
Italy is also hit by storms, and a storm video recorded there is now going viral.
Severe storms in Italy: video shows the extent of the storm
The Mediterranean region and Austria are particularly affected by the storms, and the storm claimed at least twelve lives.
On the French Mediterranean island of Corsica alone, five people died on Thursday.
Five people also died in Austria.
In Tuscany, a man and a woman were hit by falling trees near Lucca and in the coastal town of Carrara.
Heavy rain and storms are also to be expected in many places on Saturday.
Storm in Italy: storm grabs Ferris wheel - and apparently tears gondolas off
A video from the social networks shows how severe the storm actually raged in many places.
The short video was recorded in the coastal town of Piombino.
The regional president of Tuscany, Eugenio Giani, circulated the video on Twitter.
On it you can see: a Ferris wheel that seems powerless against the storm.
The short recording also shows very stormy rainy weather, one can only guess what is happening to the Ferris wheel in the distance.
But if you take a closer look, it becomes clear how the strong storm literally turns the gondolas of the Ferris wheel around.

, citing local media, gondolas are said to have even been torn down during the storm.
However, there were no passengers in the ride at the time.
Nothing is known about the extent of the damage.
In Austria, the severe storms continued to rage on Friday, and numerous floods were recorded.
