The Public Ministry of Peru requested 36 months of preventive detention for Yenifer Paredes, sister-in-law of President Pedro Castillo, for the alleged commission of money laundering crimes and others to the detriment of the State, according to a message published on the Twitter account of the Prosecutor's Office.
Days ago, Paredes had surrendered to the authorities after a special team from the Peruvian Prosecutor's Office requested that she be arrested on a preliminary basis for an alleged crime of influence peddling against the public administration.
