The Revolutionary Guards: Israel is weak, unable to penetrate the organization's ranks Israel today

2022-08-20T17:06:41.447Z

Against the background of the recent mysterious assassinations and the embarrassing details of the plot that failed to harm Israelis in Turkey, the Revolutionary Guards are trying to broadcast business as usual • At the same time, the commander of the Revolutionary Guards warns Israel that "its citizens have no safe place" throughout the country

The Revolutionary Guards, who have recently been at the center of the discussions between the West and the powers regarding the renewal of the nuclear agreement and in view of the organization's activity in planning attacks against Israel, have been trying in recent days to paint a picture of success, including denying that Israel was successful in attacks on senior Iranian officials.

"The Zionists have no safe place in occupied Palestine; all parts of the country are within the reach of the fire of the Palestinian resistance," Revolutionary Guards commander Hussein Salami said on Friday in an interview with a website associated with Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, adding that if Hezbollah is added to the equation, "the conclusion is that there are hundreds of thousands Missiles aimed at the Zionist regime."

At the same time as Salami's words, the spokesman of the Revolutionary Guards, a senior officer named Ramzan Sharif, said "the Zionists are in the worst security situation and under intense pressure."

The speaker was even quoted on the Iran International website referring to the assassination of one of the Revolutionary Guards responsible for activities against Israelis, Colonel Hassan Seyed Khodai, a few months ago because "there is no intelligence presence within the organization".

He did admit that the very elimination, and additional activity against Iranian elements in various incidents in recent months, is indeed problematic.

In the meantime, the website Iran International published on Friday new details allegedly about the Iranian intelligence agent who was entrusted with the plot to harm the Israelis in Istanbul recently.

This is Ruhollah Bazkandi, deputy commander of the information security unit of the intelligence organization in the Revolutionary Guards.

The London-based media outlet, which has an anti-establishment line, quotes an Iranian source who describes the great frustration that apparently exists within the Revolutionary Guards against the senior official.

The anonymous source claims that Bazkandi is, among other things, responsible for the ouster of Hossein Taib, the head of the intelligence unit in the Revolutionary Guards for the past 13 years, in June, which he passed due to a series of failed operations abroad, chief among them the intention to harm Israelis in Istanbul, earlier that month.

It was also reported that he worked together with General Javad Jafari, a senior Quds Force commander who was in charge of the organization's activities in Syria but was dismissed because of a "significant violation of Syrian sovereignty."

Until Jafari's ouster, he was called "the butcher of Aleppo" because of his brutal activities against the residents of the Syrian city, but shortly after his ouster, he was reportedly appointed in charge of the special operations of the Revolutionary Guards and worked on planning attacks against Israelis in Turkey for 9 months.
