Today, in Homs Governorate, the process of selling bread began via the electronic card to citizens at all approved points of sale.
Engineer Rami Al-Youssef, Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, said in a statement to SANA that the process of distribution via the electronic card started this morning through 2,715 points with the accredited, pointing out that the bakeries were provided with 200 machines to deliver the allocations to the accredited.
According to Al-Yousef, there are 21 public bakeries and 157 private bakeries in Homs, while the electronic cards distributed in the city and the countryside amounted to about 440,000 cards, considering that the new mechanism allows the province to obtain its dues of flour, as in the rest of the provinces.
Al-Youssef indicated that the application of the new mechanism will be experimental during the first week to track cases and overcome and resolve all obstacles, as the number 119 has been allocated to report complaints and divide the governorate into work sectors that include elements from the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection and a supervisor delegate from a Takamul company to address any problem related to distribution at approved or ovens.
