Nine people were killed and six injured in a collision on Saturday evening between a bus and a tanker truck carrying hydrocarbons in Illizi, in southeastern Algeria, civil protection said in a statement on Sunday.
The circumstances of the accident were not specified.
Speeding on Algerian roads is the main cause of road accidents in the Maghreb country, according to the National Delegation of Road Safety, a government agency.
