Aleppo, SANA- The second phase of the Syrian Premier League Karate Championship for the under 14 and 16 age groups has been concluded

The second phase of the Syrian Premier League Karate Championship for the age groups under 14, 16, 18 and over 18 for males and females was concluded in kata competitions, individual and group fights at Al-Assad Sports Hall in Aleppo.

In the U-14 category, the Army topped the general rankings with six golds and one bronze, followed by Aleppo Police with three golds, one silver and two bronzes, then Al-Arabi Club with two golds, three silvers and five bronzes.

Al-Arabi came first in the under-16 category with five gold and four bronze, leaving the army with four gold, three silver and one bronze, then the Aleppo Police with one gold, three silvers and two bronzes.

Al Ittihad Ahli Aleppo won first place in the under-18 category after winning three golds, four silvers and three bronzes, followed by Al Arabi with three golds, a silver and two bronzes, then the Army with three golds and one bronze.

In the above 18 years category, the Aleppo Police won first place with three golds, five silvers and four bronzes, followed by Al-Arabi with three golds, a silver and a bronze, then Al-Ittihad Ahli Aleppo with two golds, three silvers and five bronzes.

The President of the Game Association, Jihad Mahmoud Mia, explained to SANA that the Syrian Premier League championship aims to develop the players’ level and improve their skills to be fully prepared for the upcoming benefits locally and abroad, pointing out that this tournament is the second phase of the Premier League, as it was preceded by the first phase in Damascus and will be the third and final phase in Lattakia, stressing at the same time that the participants in the tournament will get rank points within the points program that was approved by the federation to classify the players to be invited to the elite tournament at the end of this year.

On the sidelines of the tournament, the Game Association held a central arbitration session in the meeting room of the Al-Assad Sports Hall in Aleppo. The referees were updated with the latest internationally approved arbitration developments.
