The forces of the Lugansk and Donetsk republics eliminate dozens of Ukrainian soldiers and destroy several military equipment

The command of the forces of the Luhansk People's Republic announced that its forces had killed 45 Ukrainian soldiers in the past 24 hours, in addition to destroying armored personnel carriers and military vehicles.

The Russia Today website quoted a statement of the Luhansk Forces Command as saying today: “During the past day, in the course of the active offensive operations of the Luhansk People’s Forces units, the enemy incurred heavy losses in manpower and military equipment, as up to 45 soldiers were liquidated and three armored personnel carriers, two artillery carriers and six units of special vehicles.

The Donetsk People's Forces also announced today the elimination of dozens of soldiers of the Ukrainian army within one day.

The Donetsk Armed Forces Command said in a statement: "As part of the joint operations of the military forces of the Donetsk Republic and the Russian Armed Forces, about 25 soldiers of the Ukrainian army were eliminated."

The statement added: "The joint forces were able to destroy weapons and military equipment, including cannons, tanks, and three armored personnel carriers."

Since February 24, the Russian Armed Forces have been carrying out a special military operation to protect the residents of the Donbass region in southeastern Ukraine.
