London: Criticism of tank biathlon in the Russian military

According to British military experts, there is criticism within the Russian armed forces that military competitions and ceremonies are being held despite the war in Ukraine.
"A significant segment of Russian military and security experts are likely to believe that it is inappropriate to continue dedicating forces to ceremonial military events while Russian troops are suffering heavy casualties in Ukraine," the Defense Ministry's daily intelligence update said in London.
The British experts quoted a minister from the breakaway pro-Russian Donetsk People's Republic as complaining about the holding of competitions such as the tank biathlon, a driving and shooting competition between tank crews and festivals by military bands.
Federal government: Economic slump in Russia after EU sanctions

The federal government considers the EU sanctions against Russia to be effective and expects an economic slump of up to 15 percent this year.
This emerges from a response from the Federal Ministry of Economics to the Left MP Sören Pellmann, which is available to the dpa news agency.
The ministry's response said: "The sanctions are having a severe impact on the Russian economy and will continue to have an impact.

The ministry's response reads: "Among other things, the sanctions have an impact on the course of the war, since they weaken military capabilities and the industrial base in the long term."
Pellmann doubts the assessment: “The fact that the federal government continues to claim that the sanctions would harm Russia more than us is absurd”.
Rather, the Russian President Vladimir Putin will hardly be hit, but Germany and especially the East will be hit very hard.

Selenskyj congratulates world boxing champion Usyk
