Launches of Syria's air defense systems in the Tartus area (social networks)
The senior officer of the Revolutionary Guards, Abolfazal Alijani, who served as a "military advisor" in the organization, was killed near Aleppo in Syria - this was reported tonight (Monday) in Iran.
Last week it was reported in Syria about an Israeli attack in which three Syrian soldiers were killed and three others were wounded in the Damascus and Tartus area.
According to the regime's Defense Ministry, Israeli aircraft launched missiles from Lebanon's airspace, southeast of Beirut, towards positions in the suburbs of Damascus.
This, at the same time, with an air strike from the Mediterranean against targets in the southern coastal district of Tartus.
It was also reported that the defense systems were activated against "hostile targets" and managed to shoot down some of them, and that the attacks caused damage.
Israel did not respond to reports of the attack, which was relatively unusual in scope given the fact that Tartus houses a Russian naval base.
According to Saudi media, Israel attacked a shipment of precision missiles that was on its way to Hezbollah and hit an Iranian officer and a Syrian officer who were overseeing the transfer.
