Three people were shot in Midtown Atlanta, according to a statement from the Atlanta Police Department (APD).
"Preliminary information indicates that three people were shot," police said.
And added the scene is active.
"The shooter is not in custody and we have multiple officers in the area looking for the suspect," the APD statement said.
Residents are asked to stay off area streets, specifically between 12th St and Peachtree St NE and 15th St and W. Peachtree St NW.
This area is just over 4 kilometers from the CNN Center in Atlanta.
