Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stressed that his country's position on the Kosovo issue "has not changed", pointing out the need to resolve the escalation in the region while respecting Belgrade's legitimate interests.
The Russian RIA Novosti news agency quoted Lavrov as saying during a meeting with Serbian Interior Minister Alexander Vulin in the Russian capital, Moscow today: "As for Kosovo, Russia's position has not changed.. Of course, it must, first of all, comply with international law and make sure that it obtains the approval of the Security Council." international”.
Lavrov added: We will accept only such an outcome that suits the Serbs, and we will provide comprehensive support to our Serb friends to achieve these results.
Volyn arrived in Moscow for a working visit earlier today.
Russia had called on the thirty-first of last month, the territory of Kosovo and the United States and the European Union to stop provocations and respect the lefts of Serbs in the region.
