Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah spoke this evening (Monday) to mark the 40th anniversary of the official founding of the terrorist organization and the 16th anniversary of the Second Lebanon War. During his remarks, he indirectly referred to Defense Minister Benny Gantz's statement that an attack on the Shark rig could lead to war.
Nasrallah's speech was delayed for a long time while holograms of Imad Mornia and Abbas Mousavi were shown on the screen to the general public gathered in south Beirut.
This is a Hezbollah official and the leader of the previous organization who was eliminated over the years.
Nasrallah said during his speech that "the Israeli threats regarding drawing (the maritime border) are worthless. Our decision and direction are clear and we are waiting for the coming days."
In doing so, Nasrallah referred to the words of Defense Minister Benny Gantz earlier today, who said that the escalation in the north may lead to several days of fighting.
However, Nasrallah indicated that he would not say anything new because there was no need for it.
"We are all waiting and those who have been waiting for more than ten years will wait a few days," he added.
We will recall that last Friday the Secretary General of the terrorist organization said that if Lebanon's demands are not met as part of the negotiations on the maritime border - "we are going to escalate".
Earlier this evening, the office of the Deputy Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Elias Bou Saab, announced that there was a telephone conversation between him and the American mediator on the maritime border issue, Amos Hochstein.

During the conversation, the developments in the negotiations between Israel and Lebanon were reviewed, and Hochstein updated Saab on the talks he had with senior Israeli officials. Hochstein emphasized that he would continue to maintain contact with Israeli officials in the coming days. The mediator indicated that he would contact him within a week to clarify some points regarding the Lebanese proposal which he received on his last visit to Beirut.
Also, the latest reports regarding positive developments in the talks were ruled out.
Saab emphasized Lebanon's position that time is running out.
He added that one should not exaggerate optimistic or negative assessments of the contacts that are still ongoing.
