Today, the activities of the first international medical conference, organized by Al-Hawash Private University, were launched in Wadi Al-Nadara area in the western Homs countryside, in cooperation with Asian universities, under the title “Innovations and New Technologies in Medical and Health Sciences.”
During the opening of the conference, in which a group of researchers from Syria, Russia, Germany, France, Italy, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Lebanon will participate, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Bassam Ibrahim, explained that the conference is an opportunity to get acquainted with the participating doctors and researchers and exchange their experiences and opinions on the latest scientific progress in each field. Medical specialization, pointing to the importance of the attendance and participation of graduate students from the master's and doctoral stages in the conference, which gives impetus to scientific research and emphasizes the importance and role of young people in serving the health sector.
Ibrahim noted the diversity and richness of the research of the participants in the conference, pointing out the importance of the participants coming up with proposals and recommendations that serve the health sector in Syria.
In turn, the conference head, Dr. Muhammad Al-Naqari, stated that the conference is being held in cooperation between Al-Hawash Private University and Asian universities, in which researchers from seven countries, in addition to researchers from Syria, will participate, about 40 in attendance and 18 virtual researchers, noting that the participating research dealt with important topics, including those related to heart surgery and pediatric surgery. Osteoporosis and diabetes.
The President of Al-Hawash Private University, Dr. Hala Deeb, indicated that within the university’s plan and methodology in developing scientific research, this conference was organized at the university to introduce doctors and researchers to the latest scientific findings in the medical field, adding: Our goal in the conference is also to share and introduce local doctors to the latest developments in medicine, which will be reflected on Developing the medical service in the local community.
The sessions of the first day of the conference, which concludes tomorrow, included research papers on cardiac surgery in Syria, the spongiform heart in children, cardiovascular sarcoma and osteoporosis.
