A video clip circulated by activists on social media revealed the brutality of three police officers in the southern state of Arkansas, the United States, as they beat a man in a parking lot.
CNN reported that the video clip spread on social media showing police officers throwing a man on the ground, punching him, repeatedly hitting him with fists and knees, and hitting his head with asphalt before detaining him in a parking lot outside a convenience store in Mulberry, Arkansas.
For his part, Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson announced in a statement that "three law enforcement officers in Crawford County have been suspended," adding that the two Crawford County deputies have been suspended from work and a Mulberry police officer has been placed on administrative leave.
According to a recent study conducted by the University of Washington, the American police have been hiding the actual number of their victims for more than 40 years, and more than half of the killings at the hands of the police were left unreported.
